OPHTHALMIC
CATARACT COUNSELLOR
& CALL CENTRE ATTENDANT
This career opportunity is
well suited to a bright, professional and
personable individual with a keen interest in
patient service and care.
The Ophthalmic Counsellor
requires a keen interest in
educating/conversing with patients in terms of
surgical options, techniques and fees (via
phone & in person). The incumbent will be
responsible for scheduling appointments,
completing medical forms, data entry via our
computer's customized software and liaison
between the surgeon and the patient.
To ensure success in this
role, applicants must have superb
communication, interpersonal and
organizational skills. The prevailing
candidate will be a team player, computer
familiar and type a minimum 45 wpm. Candidates
with previous ophthalmology, counselling,
marketing, and/or medical experience will be
given preference. Training is provided,
although related post-secondary education is an
asset.
