Working Together

IN PERSON is still the best way to learn about what might be YOUR best options for vision correction. Call us to make an appointment for a personalized exam and assessment. You do NOT need a referral to book an appointment, and we will always be happy to collaborate with your primary eye provider. Call us to discuss your questions and your next steps. We look forward to working together to help you come to your own decision about vision correction options that work for you.

Getting started at Gimbel Eye Centre is as easy as picking up the phone.

The first step is to speak to one of our Patient Counsellors for a phone consultation. He or she will ask questions about your eye health and talk to you about your options.

Complimentary Assessment

When you’re ready to take the next step, your Patient Counsellor will  first discuss a series of questions with you before booking an appointment for an assessment of your eyes and vision. This appointment has no cost. This appointment will help you decide whether vision correction surgery is right for you and which option will give you the results you are looking for. Although we have performed over 200,000 surgeries, we’ll only recommend a procedure if we’re confident that you’ll get the results that will satisfy you. We’ll provide you with all the information you need to make an informed decision.  Please have your prescription ready when you call as it is necessary to determine if an assessment can be considered with regards to candidacy for refractive surgery, OR complete an Assessment Request form online.

Preparing for the Surgery

If you decide to go ahead with the surgery, your Patient Counsellor will book an appointment for a complete surgical workup. During this appointment, you’ll meet with a doctor to ask questions and talk about any concerns you might have. The surgical workup will give your surgeon all the information he or she needs to customize the procedure to your vision correction treatment.

Our staff is always available to listen to your comments and answer your questions and concerns. Please feel free to contact us at any time.
